Nicki Minaj is an ‘introspective character’ behind closed doors.

The eccentric musician is famed for her larger-than-life persona on stage, and regularly dons colourful wigs and outlandish garb.

Despite impressing with her signature look, Nicki insists she’s very different in private.

“Obviously what I would wear at home is not what I would wear up on stage,’ she revealed in an interview with Wonderland magazine.

“When I’m at home it’s a way more introspective character and the person people see on stage is anything but.”

Nicki is performing with Madonna at the Super Bowl XLVI this weekend, before heading over to the UK.

The Trinidadian-born star is a fan of the country’s capital.

“I think I was born in London in a past life. I was probably Queen,’ she smiled.

Madonna is set to perform her new track Give Me All Your Luvin ‘with Nicki and M.I.A..

Super Bowl XLVI is being held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
