Reese Witherspoon was awkward dater - Hot News, Trends And Gossips

Reese Witherspoon knows a man is right for her when he doesn’t make her want to “crawl out of [her] own skin”.

The Hollywood married talent agent Jim Toth last year, but has been reminiscing about dating. She has never been a fan of actively looking for a partner as she finds it embarrassing, and it only got worse as her fame soared.

“I hate dating. I don’t think anybody enjoys it, do they? It’s hard to get to know someone, it’s a little awkward. Particularly when – God – when everyone knows you and can look you up on the internet and 7,000 articles come up,” she laughed to the March edition of UK Glamour magazine.

“If it doesn’t feel terribly awkward, like you want to crawl out of your own skin, that’s probably the guy for you!”

The 35-year-old star understands her fans are interested in hearing about her life, so doesn’t complain about being followed by paparazzi. She feels the high points of her lifestyle far outweigh the negatives, as she loves travelling and meeting new people.

Reese is also proud that she has never put on a front while in the public eye.

“At this point I feel everybody knows who I am and they know I don’t take any garbage. I won’t take any c**p from anybody,” she stated.

The actress also reflected on her life over the last ten years. It’s seen highs such as winning an Oscar for her movie Walk the Line, and lows including her divorce from Ryan Phillippe.

She has grown a great deal since she started out in the business and hopes her story has inspired others.

“If I think about who I was then, I’m a different person now. It’s everything. Feeling rooted and like you have something to say. Like you have a perspective that you feel confident about,” she said.

“A lot of women who go through different things – like going through a divorce or whatever – talk to me, and I always say, ‘You’re going to get through this. I know that sounds so simple, but you really are. You’re going to be a different person, but you’ll be a better person.’

“You have to look at all sides of everything – really look at your own behaviour. And be clear about the sort of person you want to be. And write it all down. I wish I’d written down more. All these life experiences. The good and the bad – all those feelings.”
