Trumpets-disrupt-Bond-filming

Shooting of the new James Bond movie was interrupted after a group of students started playing the famed theme tune on trumpets.

The latest film in the suave spy franchise is called Skyfall and sees Daniel Craig reprising his role as Bond.

It’s being directed by Sam Mendes and filming has already begun in London.

Things were going well, until a band of excitable music students noticed the film set from windows at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich. They decided to honour the series of movies by playing their own interpretation of the well-known theme tune.

“The students thought it would be funny to pay tribute to the shoot but the noise actually disrupted filming,” a source explained to British newspaper The Sun.

Those on set were initially excited to hear the brass instruments playing the song. However, it went on so long that steps eventually had to be taken to ensure shooting didn’t fall behind schedule.

“Some people on set found it funny but in the end the director, Sam Mendes, had to send a runner to the room to ask them to stop,” the source added.

Skyfall is due out later this year and also stars Dame Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem and Naomie Harris.
