to get this shot was a daunting task. But the prize
was certainly worthwhile!

A few of the extra items needed to make a rug.
Some PVA glue to bind the cut ends of the canvas, a latch hook, some strong linen thread and a curved needle to whip the unworked canvas to the underside of the working area – this does mean that you work a double thickness canvas on the outer inch of the rug, but it gives the neatest finish.
An iron-on edging tape will fix the knots in place, but I’ve not bought any yet.

Tonight’s dinner, January 28 ’09.

Brown rice with chopped marinated and roasted chicken breast. Green salad with mixed greens (torn romaine lettuce, radicchio, escarole, endive, winter cress (or "dry-land cress" as my native Virginian husband says it was called in his family of origin), shredded cabbage, sliced baby bella mushrooms, shredded carrots, diced green pepper, scallions, chopped Desert Glory Nature Sweet D’Vines vine ripened tiny tomatoes, sliced calamata olives, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar.
